Maxime Vanliefde

I am currently a PhD student at UCLouvain, co-supervised by Pr. Etienne Rivière of the Cloud and Large Scale computing group and by Pr. Tom Barbette of the Efficiency of Networked Systems Group. I am also a F.R.S. - FNRS Research Fellow.

I received my Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at UCLouvain in 2024.

My Research

I’m interested in parallel and distributed systems, stream processing, Network Function Virtualization, and high-speed packet processing.

My FNRS-funded project focuses on bridging the gap between genericity and high performance in sequence processing on modern hardware.

My Master’s thesis was about GPU-based packet processing.
